Operation Encompass

Operation Encompass is a nationally recognised scheme in England that helps schools support children who experience domestic abuse. Barnwell Academy is committed to ensuring that relevant safeguarding information is shared with the school in a timely and confidential way. This enables us to be more alert to a child’s needs and to provide appropriate support, including a calm and consistent approach at the start of the school day.

 By receiving information through Operation Encompass, our staff can put support in place promptly, such as a gentle check-in, reassurance, or adjustments to routines, while maintaining the child’s dignity and privacy.
