Barnwell Academy

Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is additional funding for schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the attainment gap between them and their peers as well as supporting children and young people with parents in the regular armed forces. The pupil premium is allocated to schools based on the number of children on roll who are known to have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any time within the last 6 years, who have left Local Authority care or who's parents serve in the armed forces.

At Barnwell Academy we have high aspirations for all the children in our community. We are committed to ensure that the funding is spent to significant effect and that all children are given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
